II. The cable identifier is designed to solve the technical problem of cable identification for power cable engineers and cable workers. Users can accurately identify a specific target cable from multiple cables using the instrument, avoiding serious accidents caused by mistakenly cutting live cables. Cable identification starts from both ends of the cable, and it must be ensured that the double numbering at both ends is accurate. This instrument adopts PSK technology. No matter how reliable the memory of on-site workers is, it cannot replace the identification of professional instruments. This product is only suitable for on-site identification of de-energized cables. It is strictly forbidden to connect this cable identifier to a running power cable! This instrument consists of a transmitter, a receiver, and a flexible current clamp.
The transmitter uses the pulse current principle, injecting a pulse-coded current signal into the cable core. This current generates an electromagnetic field around the target cable for the receiver and flexible current clamp to detect, decode, and identify. Because the current has directionality, the detection also has directionality. The transmitter adopts an integrated special toolbox design, using polypropylene plastic as raw material, adding new composite fillers and forming in one injection molding. It has lower density, better strength, rigidity, hardness, wear resistance, heat resistance, and insulation performance. The box can withstand pressure of about 200kg. The host has a large LCD that displays remaining battery power in real time, with white backlight and dynamic indication of the transmitted signal, clear at a glance.
The receiver is a handheld device with a 3.5-inch color LCD screen, built-in high-speed microprocessor, which identifies and decodes the pulse-coded current signal from the transmitter. The electronic dial indicates signal strength, which is beautiful and intuitive; the color grating dynamically displays, clear at a glance, and can quickly and automatically identify the target cable. It also has AC voltage detection function, with a range of AC 0V~600V (50Hz/60Hz).
The flexible current clamp is a Rogowski coil with excellent transient tracking capability, able to quickly identify the pulse-coded current generated by the transmitter. It is suitable for thick cables or irregularly shaped conductors. Its clamp inner diameter is about 200mm, and it can clamp cables below Φ200mm without disconnecting the tested circuit, non-contact measurement, safe and fast.
