With the development of China's power industry, capacitor compensation devices have achieved unprecedented development, but consequently, the accident rate of capacitors has risen sharply, and there have been serious group injury accidents. To prevent shunt capacitor accidents and ensure the safe and reliable operation of the power grid, the State Grid Corporation of China has formulated the "Measures for Preventing Accidents of High-Voltage Shunt Capacitors." It explicitly requires "to regularly measure the capacitance of individual capacitors in capacitor banks, and it is recommended to use a measurement method that does not disconnect the connecting wires, to avoid faults such as oil leakage from the bushing caused by stress during disassembly and assembly of connecting wires."
The Capacitance Bridge Tester is designed to address the problems existing in the measurement of high-voltage shunt capacitor banks at substation sites, and is specially developed with reference to national standards such as GB3983.2-1989 "High-Voltage Shunt Capacitors" and DL/T840-2003 "Technical Conditions for the Use of High-Voltage Shunt Capacitors." It is mainly used for measuring high-voltage shunt capacitor banks in reactive power compensation devices.
The Capacitance Bridge Tester adopts a new generation of high-speed hybrid microprocessors, is highly integrated, and simultaneously collects the voltage and current signals of the test object, automatically calculating capacitance values and reactive power values. On-site measurement of capacitors does not require disconnecting connecting wires, simplifying the test process, effectively improving work efficiency, and avoiding damage to power equipment. After the test, it automatically calculates the capacitance value of each phase, total capacitance value, and other parameters, making it easy to identify changes in capacitor quality and faults in inter-component connecting conductors. At the same time, the Capacitance Bridge Tester also has data storage and USB communication functions, eliminating the need for on-site manual data recording and ensuring complete measurement data.
