Product Description

Single-Phase Capacitance and Inductance Tester

Dary Electric recommends

I. Product Functions:

1. Heterodyne power output:

The instrument uses heterodyne power output for testing, greatly improving on-site anti-interference capability, allowing testing in high-intensity magnetic fields without affecting accuracy; the heterodyne power adopts advanced inverter technology with soft start and soft stop functions, greatly reducing impact on the test object and better protecting it; meanwhile, the power output uses advanced PID adjustment algorithm for constant current and voltage limiting output, further enhancing measurement accuracy and stability, and short-circuiting the output will not damage the instrument.

2. Single-phase testing function:

The instrument can measure single-phase capacitors, reactors, and resistors. In single-phase measurement, automatic testing can also be selected, allowing the instrument to automatically determine the type of test object.

3. Three-phase capacitor testing function:

The instrument has three-phase power output and interfaces, capable of testing three-phase Y-connected capacitors, three-phase Yn-connected capacitors, three-phase △-connected capacitors, and three-phase III-connected capacitors with a single connection, completing three-phase capacitance testing and calculating each phase capacitance separately, which is simple and convenient, greatly improving the work efficiency of on-site personnel.

4. Capacitance measurement:

By accurately setting the rated frequency and rated voltage of the capacitor test object, the instrument can automatically calculate the compensation capacitance of the capacitor, reducing the calculation workload for on-site personnel.

5. Reactance measurement of test object:

The instrument can automatically calculate the capacitive reactance, inductive reactance, and impedance of the test object based on measurement results, facilitating further data analysis on site.

6. Current testing function:

The instrument's clamp current transformer can be used independently for current detection, measuring the fundamental effective value of the current signal, total harmonic distortion, signal frequency, and the content rates of the 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th harmonics, thereby performing simple power quality analysis on the current signal.

II. Instrument Operation:

1. Connect one end of the test voltage cable to the "Voltage Output" 25V terminal, and the cable clamps at the other end to the connecting busbars on both poles of the capacitor bank under test.

2. Plug the test current signal cable into the "Current Input" input plug, and connect the other end to the clamp meter. Pay attention to the direction of the clamp meter's jaws; the red clip of the voltage line and the front panel (with display) of the clamp current meter are of the same polarity. If reversed, the sign of the phase angle between voltage and current will be incorrect, and the instrument cannot correctly identify whether the test object is capacitive or inductive.

3. Use the "↑" and "↓" keys to cycle through the screen display: Auto, Capacitance, Inductance, Resistance, and set the test object type. Normally, use the default mode: Auto, where the instrument determines the test object type based on the phase difference between test voltage and current. In some cases, if the capacitance of the test object is too small (below the instrument's measurement lower limit), the instrument can accurately read the effective current value but cannot measure the phase angle, making it impossible to determine the test object type; in such cases, the user needs to manually set the test object type.

4. After setting the test object type, press the "→" key to move the cursor to "Voltage Level". Use the "↑" and "↓" keys to cycle through the screen display: 0.38/ kV, 6.6kV, 6.6/ kV, 10kV, 10/ kV, 11kV, 11/ kV, 12kV, 12/ kV, 35kV, 35/ kV. Select the voltage value to calculate the reactive power (kvar) of the capacitor; it does not affect the capacitance value.

5. After setting the appropriate voltage level, press the "→" key to move the cursor to "System Number". Use the "↑" and "↓" keys to modify the actual system number digit by digit. This is used for printing and saving data.

6. After setting "Test Object Type" and "Voltage Level", press the "OK" key to enter testing.
