Features of JOS-2000 Relay Protection Test Box

1. Embedded host, equipped with ultra-large-scale programmable logic device (CPLD)

The host adopts a high-speed high-performance embedded microcomputer system equipped with CPLD, featuring fast response speed and wide transmission bandwidth. It can generate a high-density fitted sine wave of 500 points per cycle for the fundamental wave, with smooth output waveform and no harmonic components. Due to the large number of output points and the filtering circuit, the waveform distortion is small. Even for the 9th harmonic at 450Hz, a high density of 55 points per cycle can be achieved. The software has strong human-computer interaction and online help functions, allowing control over any test parameter.

2. Single machine with 12-channel D/A simultaneous output

Using 16-bit high-precision DAC chips, ensuring high accuracy and good linearity of the fitted waveform. It can output 12 analog signals simultaneously, meeting the testing requirements for transformer protection, standby power supply automatic switching, etc.

3. High-precision linear power amplifier, simultaneously outputting 6-phase voltage and 6-phase current

The carefully designed voltage and current amplifiers achieve AC/DC sharing, and the output stage adopts a unique high-precision ultra-linear amplification technology. With high accuracy and good reliability, it can simultaneously output 6-phase AC voltage and 6-phase AC current. Each phase AC voltage output is up to 130V, 70VA, and the AC current full parallel output is up to 180A. DC voltage output can reach 300V, 130VA.

4. Large LCD screen, complete interfaces, integrated single-chassis structure

This machine uses a 640×480 dot matrix 8.0-inch large-screen high-resolution graphic LCD. The operation interface and test results are displayed in Chinese, and all operation processes are set on the display screen, which is intuitive and clear. The device can be operated with the built-in keyboard, and also provides external keyboard/mouse ports. It also provides 2 USB ports and 2 RS232 ports for communication with external computers and other devices. It only needs AC 220V power supply and can work immediately after power-on. It is easy to carry and very suitable for mobile tests and field work.

5. Auxiliary DC source (optional)

This machine can be optionally equipped with two independent DC power supplies: one group 110VDC/1.0A, the other group 220VDC/0.6A, automatically output simultaneously after power-on, which can be used as protection power supply without software settings or adjustments.

6. Intelligent self-protection

Adopting a newly designed heat dissipation structure to ensure good ventilation. It can simultaneously detect overcurrent, overvoltage, overload, short circuit, excessive temperature, abnormal data, and other phenomena that endanger the device itself. Even operational errors will not damage the device. In addition, when dangerous signals such as external voltage enter the tester through terminals, the device alarm indicator turns red and automatically cuts off the power amplifier.

7. Rich contacts and powerful software functions

This device has eight switch inputs (A B C R a b c r) and four switch outputs. The input contacts are compatible with both dry contacts and 0-250V potential contacts, and can be intelligently identified. The device is operated through the large LCD screen using 23 keys on the panel, and all interfaces are displayed in Chinese. It can complete the verification work of most field tests. It can also conveniently complete tests of protection devices from foreign manufacturers such as ABB, Siemens, AREVA, etc.

The device can be placed vertically or horizontally, can be operated offline or with an external PC. Test results can be automatically organized and recorded into test reports for future reference. It can also be directly saved to a USB drive and conveniently transferred to an external PC for editing, printing, and other processing. Software upgrades are simple and quick, directly via USB drive or downloaded from an external PC, without any hardware changes.

The software has powerful auxiliary calculation functions, automatically calculating positive, negative, and zero sequence voltage and current, active power, reactive power, and power factor on primary and secondary sides. The 6-phase voltage and 6-phase current outputs can perform dual-group tests for standby power supply automatic switching and three-phase differential tests for transformers, with very simple wiring.

8. Special design for railway use

Specially designed electric railway differential test menu, automatically testing the percentage braking characteristics of the transformer based on the working principle of the electric railway traction transformer differential protection.

9. Per-phase differential test menu

According to the working principle of transformer differential protection, it automatically tests the percentage braking characteristics, harmonic braking characteristics, and DC magnetizing characteristics of the transformer.

Functions

1. Can test various AC/DC, current, voltage, intermediate, self-holding, signal and other single relays and complete relay protection panels. It can test the pickup voltage (current) value, release voltage (current) value, pickup time and release time of various contacts (normally open, normally closed, changeover, delay) of various relays. All tests are automatically performed three times and the values are stored, and the return coefficient of the three average values is automatically calculated and printed. Test results can be repeatedly displayed and printed.

2. Can conveniently test various parameters of reclosing relays.

3. Equipped with frequency and phase measurement functions, can measure the frequency of current and voltage (displaying the time of one cycle, i.e., period) and the phase difference (time) between two signals.

4. Two independent channels are provided, both insulated from other outputs of the machine, allowing convenient measurement of live contacts, meeting the online testing requirements of relays, with simple and safe wiring.

5. Adopts a precise timing reference (10 microseconds) and a counter up to 100 hours, so it can be used alone as a precision millisecond meter to replace traditional stopwatches.

Test Precautions

1. The test instrument has a built-in industrial computer and Windows operating system. Do not frequently switch the host power on and off.

2. The device panel or back panel is equipped with USB ports, allowing hot-plugging of USB devices (such as USB drives), but note that plugging and unplugging must be done after data transfer is completed.

3. The device is equipped with a dedicated self-restoring CF card to avoid damage to the operating system caused by illegal shutdown, deletion or modification of files on the hard disk and desktop icons. If you really need to store data on this machine, please store the data on the D drive. When using a USB drive to copy data, please ensure the USB drive is clean and virus-free, and do not use the USB drive to install other software programs on this system.

4. When connecting an external keyboard or mouse, do not plug into the wrong port, otherwise the Windows operating system may not start normally.

5. Do not turn off the power directly in the output state to avoid protection misoperation due to incorrect output at shutdown.

6. The switch inputs are compatible with dry contacts and potential (0～250VDC). When using live contacts, the high potential (positive) of the contact should be connected to the common terminal COM.

7. When using this instrument, do not block or seal the ventilation openings of the chassis. Generally, place the instrument upright or open the support feet to tilt it slightly.

8. It is forbidden to introduce external AC or DC power into the voltage and current output jacks of the tester. Otherwise, the tester will be damaged.

9. If the on-site interference is strong or safety requirements are high, before testing, please reliably ground the ground terminal of the power cord (3-core) or the device grounding hole.

10. If problems such as interface data errors or device connection failures occur during use, you can solve them by pressing the reset button downward to reset the DSP; or exit the running program to return to the main menu and rerun the program, then all data on the interface will be restored to default values.
