Power frequency withstand voltage tester maintenance and precautions
Dare Electric recommends
Power frequency withstand voltage tester, also known as electrical insulation strength tester, also called dielectric strength tester, and sometimes referred to as dielectric breakdown device, is a testing instrument that applies AC high voltage and DC high voltage to the part between the live and non-live outer shells of electrical appliances, used to detect whether the insulation performance of the machine can withstand the pressure it should bear under high voltage. So how to use this instrument and how to maintain it?
When choosing a power frequency withstand voltage tester, you must choose according to your own needs. Check the maximum pressure value that the tested machine can withstand during operation. The testing instrument must be greater than the tested instrument. The specific operation is to adjust the high voltage value of the power frequency withstand voltage tester to half of the normal value, then connect it to the tested machine. If the voltage value of the tested instrument does not exceed 10%, it means the correct testing instrument has been selected.
How to maintain the power frequency withstand voltage tester:
First, ensure the machine is clean and regularly remove dust;
Check whether the current at the power interface is normal and whether there is any leakage every time before use;
Pay attention to the indicator light when starting up; the indicator light will be on after startup;
Always cut off the power before and after each use to prevent circuit aging;
When the tester is working, if the alarm sounds, cut off the power immediately and send it to the factory for repair. Do not continue to use it to avoid life-threatening dangers;
During use, do not let unrelated personnel approach or operate to avoid accidents;
Pay attention to waterproofing. Do not let the machine come into contact with water. If it accidentally gets splashed with water, cut off the power immediately, dry it with a hairdryer, and then let it air out in a ventilated place for a while;
When operating, wear special operating gloves and place an insulating rubber mat under the tester.
