Product Introduction The distribution network capacitance current tester is mainly used to measure the capacitance current of the distribution network directly from the secondary side of the PT. Simply connect the measurement line to the open delta terminal of the PT to measure the capacitance current data. The output end of the tester can withstand 100V AC voltage. If a single-phase ground fault occurs in the system during measurement, it will not damage the PT or the tester. Currently, the neutral point of the power supply in China's distribution systems is generally not directly grounded. Therefore, when a single-phase ground fault occurs on a line, the current flowing through the fault point is actually the capacitance current generated by the line's capacitance to ground. According to statistics, a large proportion of distribution network faults are caused by the inability to self-extinguish the arc due to excessive capacitance during single-phase ground faults. Therefore, China's power regulations stipulate that when the capacitance current of 10kV and 35kV systems exceeds 30A and 10A respectively, arc suppression coils should be installed to compensate for the capacitance current. This requires measuring the capacitance current of the distribution network to make decisions. In addition, the combination of the distribution network's capacitance to ground and PT parameters can cause PT ferromagnetic resonance overvoltage. To verify whether the distribution system will experience PT resonance and the nature of the resonance, it is also necessary to accurately measure the capacitance to ground of the distribution network. Traditional methods for measuring distribution network capacitance current include the direct method of single-phase metal grounding and the indirect method of adding external capacitance. These methods require contact with primary equipment, thus posing test hazards, complex operations, and low work efficiency. To solve these problems, our company, together with universities and research institutes, has developed the distribution network capacitance current tester. This new intelligent tester measures the capacitance current of the distribution network directly from the secondary side of the PT. Compared with traditional testing methods, it does not require direct connection to the primary side, eliminating test hazards, complex safety work, and long waiting for dispatch commands. Simply connect the measurement line to the open delta terminal of the PT to measure the capacitance current data. Since a weak heterodyne test signal is injected from the PT open delta, it neither affects relay protection nor the PT itself, and avoids 50Hz power frequency interference. At the same time, the output end of the tester can withstand 100V AC voltage. If a single-phase ground fault occurs during measurement, it will not damage the PT or the tester, so no special safety measures are needed. This makes the work safe, simple, and fast, with accurate, stable, and reliable test results. |
