Product Operating Procedures:
1. Measuring Capacitors
Connect one end of the test voltage cable to the "Voltage Output" 30V terminal, and the cable clamps at the other end clamp onto the connecting busbars of the two poles of the capacitor bank under test (as shown in the right figure);
2. Insert the test current signal cable into the "Current Input" input plug, and connect the other end to the clamp meter. Pay attention to the direction of the clamp meter's jaw. As shown in the right figure, the red clip of the voltage line and the front panel (with display) of the clamp ammeter are of the same polarity. If connected in reverse, the sign of the phase angle between the measured voltage and current will be incorrect, and the instrument cannot correctly identify whether the test object is a capacitor or an inductor;
Turn on the instrument power switch, display:
3. Turn on the instrument power switch, display:
5. Set the "Test Object Type" correctly, press the "OK" key to enter the test. 4. Use the "Shift" key in conjunction, the screen cycles through: Auto Discrimination, Capacitor Test Object, Inductor Test Object, Resistor Test Object to set the test object type. Normally, the default mode is Auto: the instrument determines the test object type based on the phase difference between the test voltage and current. In some cases, because the capacitance of the test object is too small (below the instrument's lower measurement limit), the instrument can accurately read the effective current value but cannot measure the phase angle, making it impossible to determine the test object type. In such cases, the user needs to manually set the test object type;
6. Press the "Print" key, the instrument prints the test results
Precautions:
1. Test Voltage: If the impedance of the test object is unknown, you can first test with 2V. If the test current is less than 1A, you can switch to 30V for measurement.
2. Current Detection: Clamp the clamp CT onto the part where current needs to be measured. For example, it can be clamped onto the lead wire connecting the capacitor, not necessarily the capacitor bushing. If measuring total current, it can also be clamped directly onto the voltage lead wire.
3. Clamp CT Orientation: The front face of the current clamp should face the red clip (i.e., 2V or 20V) direction. At this time, the instrument automatically distinguishes between capacitor, inductor, or resistor.
4. Magnetic Field Interference: It is recommended to keep the clamp CT at least 1 meter away from the instrument. If measuring an inductor with significant magnetic flux leakage, it is recommended to stay at least 1 meter away from the inductor.
Product Functions:
Heterogeneous Frequency Power Output:
The instrument uses heterogeneous frequency power output for testing, greatly improving on-site anti-interference capability. It can test in high-intensity magnetic fields without affecting accuracy; the heterogeneous frequency power adopts advanced inverter technology with soft start and soft stop functions, greatly reducing impact on the test object and better protecting it; at the same time, the power output uses advanced PID adjustment algorithm for constant current and voltage limiting output, further enhancing measurement accuracy and stability, and short-circuiting the output will not damage the instrument.
Single-Phase Test Function:
The instrument can measure single-phase capacitors, reactors, and resistors. When measuring single-phase, you can also choose automatic testing, and the instrument will automatically determine the test object type.
Capacitance Measurement:
Accurately set the rated frequency and rated voltage of the capacitor test object, and the instrument can automatically calculate the compensation capacity of the capacitor, reducing on-site calculation workload.
Test Object Reactance Measurement:
The instrument can automatically calculate the capacitive reactance, inductive reactance, and impedance of the test object based on the measurement results, facilitating further data analysis on site.
